Ayurveda is an ancient medicine system of herbomineral drug used in different disorders. Ayurvedic bhasma are the ash of metal and minerals prepared by incineration of metals and minerals with the help of different herbs. Bhasma are the nano-medicines used for better treatment and prevention of the various diseases. Rajayakshma is the immuno-compromised and communicable disease remained a worldwide public health problem despite the fact that the causative organism was discovered more than hundred years ago and highly effective drug and vaccines available. But eradication of this disease does not appear to be an attainable goal for decade to come. Ayurveda has described large number of medicine which can provide the protection against the Rajaykshma. One of the medicines is Vanga Bhasma mentioned in ayurvedic text, act on immune system and give the protection against the Rajayakshma. This study has been carried out to study the role of Vanga bhasma in the management of Rajayakshma.
