ABSTRACT

In Ayurveda for treatment point of view various kalpas are used. These kaplas are mainly herbal, mineral or herbomineral in nature. Herbal formulations are made out of the Kashthaushadhis means herbal drugs, Mineral formulations are made out of rasaushadhithis and herbomineral formulations are made out of herbal drugs as well as rasaushadhis. Anandbhairav rasa is a herbomineral compound. It has total twelve pathabhedas. Out of which two pathabhedas are commonly used, mentioned by Rasa Chandanshu, which are used under Atisara and Kasarogadhikara. This study mainly deals with the review of Anandbhairav rasa with special reference to Kasarogadhikara. It is mainly used in KaphajaKasa because this Kalpa has gunaslike, it is Ushnavriyatmaka, Kaphavatashamaka, Agnideepaka, Amapachaka, Jantughna and Shwasakasahara.
